加拿大物理治疗专业又称理疗康复，简称为 PT，是一个快速发展的专业。物理治疗主要使用电子仪器及物理设备，有时辅以人力治疗，帮助恢复人体的各种功能。治疗的范围相当广，包括外烧伤、心脏病、头部外伤、骨折、大脑瘫痪、脏器硬化、神经损伤等。电子方法有电刺激、冷热敷、超声波等，人力治疗有牵引、按摩等。
加拿大物理治疗专业申请条件：
1. 对于高考结束的国内学生来说，出国的第一步就是就读国外本科，在加拿大对于物理治疗教育的本科学士学位并没有特定要求，可以为运动科学(Exercise Science)、生物学(Biology)、运动学(Kinesiology)、心理学(Psychology)或其他本科专业只要修过一些必须的课程，如：大学物理、大学化学、生物学、基本的解剖学和生理学等。
2. 取得学士学位以后就可以进行博士学位申请，学生可以通过Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service 在线申请，PTCAS是美国物理治疗协会(APTA)下属的一个服务机构。。
3. 值得注意的是在加拿大物理治疗不需要硕士学位，取得学士学位以后可以直接申请博士学位。
