一、托福议论文写作模板介绍

题目:why gulf sturgeon jump

Both the reading and listening are discussing 3 reasons that can explain why gulf sturgeon jump out of water. While the passage believes so, the lecturer casts doubt on the writer’s view from the 3 aspects below.

Firstly, in the reading passage, they are jumping for flying insects. On the contrary, the professor says that they are fully fed in gulf of Mexico in winter, so they do not eat anything in Florida in summer. Moreover, they are seeking food under the sea rather than in the air.

Secondly, the professor opposes reading’s idea that they are jumping to get rid of parasites. He states that it is impossible because the parasites are in their bodies. In addition, some fish like sturgeon with parasites will not jump.

Finally, the professor disapproves the reading’s idea that they are jumping for aggression. Many tourists have been hurt by sturgeon. However, the professor claims that it is not convincing because they also jump while there are no ships.

题目:what is the function of the eye-like organ found in microbes

The listening refutes the three functions raised in the reading to explain the existence of the eye in microbes.

First, the reading holds that the eye is used for following preys. Since the microbes’ preys are usually transparent, which means their movement will cause the oscillation of light, the eye can enable the microbes to detect those and follow the prey.. However, the listening points out that there are researches proving that other closely related microbes, which have no eyes, can also follow their prey successfully. Therefore, their eyes must be for other purposes.

Second, the reading believes that the eye is used to sense the sunlight. One part of the energy source of microbes is the sun, so with the eye sensing the intensity of sunlight they can find a better place to absorb the solar energy. On the contrary, in the listening, the eye can not sense sunlight, otherwise, it will not confirm with the law of evolution. Scientists find that they are becoming less and less dependent on sunlight for energy. Compared with their ancestors, the sea-dwelling microorganism is with a much more complex eye.

Third, the reading suggests that the eye has aiming function which help microbes target the prey more accurately when they send forth something like spear to stab. However, the listening refutes that researchers find that the eye couldn’t focus quite well and can not form clear image, which means they are not able to have better accuracy at their preys when stabbing them.

二、托福口语考试题型

新托福独立口语题型

第1题和第2题为独立回答题,准备时间为15秒,回答问题时间为45秒。问题会被朗读出来,同时会出现在屏幕上。第一道题是情景题。阅读材料为一个自然段,75-100个单词,阅读材料的时间是45秒;要求考生根据题目表达自己的观点并解释原因;第二道题要求考生在两个相反的事物中选择一个并解释原因。

新托福综合口语

1. 综合口语第一类

综合口语第3题和第4题为第一类综合口语题,以阅读和听力材料为基础,要求考生回答相关问题。听力材料是两个学生的对话,是对阅读材料中提出的问题的评论,长度为60-80秒。另一道是学术题,阅读材料为75-100个单词的长度学术性材料,阅读时间为45秒。听力材料是老师的课堂讲解,长度为60-90秒考生可以在听录音的过程中做笔记来帮助答题。答题的时候,考生有30秒的准备时间,60秒的回答问题时间。

2. 综合口语第二类

口语考试第5题和第6题为综合口语第二类,以听力材料为基础,要求考生回答相关问题。听力材料一道题是情景题,是学生之间关于学习生活中涉及的任意话题的对话,长度为1分钟60-90秒;另一道是学术题,比如历史课老师在讲课,长度为90-120秒。考生可以在听录音的过程中做笔记来帮助答题。答题时,考生有20秒的准备时间,60秒的时间回答问题。

三、托福口语评分标准

与TOEFL iBT®考试的其他测试部分一样通过计算机作答,考生利用带有麦克风的头戴式耳机回答所有口语题目,口语讲话内容将被录音。回答经数码技术处理后被传送至ETS,然后由经认证的评分员评分。托福口语包含4道试题,考试时长17分钟,总分30分。其口语分数范围及评分标准如下——

1、高级(25-30):满足有效交谈要求,话语流畅、清晰、连贯。

2、中高级(20-24):满足适当交谈要求,话语流畅、连贯,出现小部分失误。

3、中低级(16-19):满足一定的交谈要求,可理解话语,表达不太连贯,部分地方话语含义被遮盖。

4、初级(10-15):交谈内容有限,表达不连贯,语义大部分难以理解。

5、预备初级(0-9):考生无法回应主题,或回应无关主题。
